OK, I’m sure that all of you were thinking that I’d be blogging about JazzAffair at Three Rivers right now. Well, yes and no. Three Rivers has been great so far, and the turnout for a Friday night has been incredible. In fact, there is a family that comes every year, and they come to every Blue Street set all weekend. Extremely loyal fans.
Anyway, after our last set tonight, the eldest daughter and her friend, who have been coming since they were probably 10 or 11, (or at least that’s as far back as I remember) came up to the bandstand to talk with us. It was kind of the usual conversation, you know, “How have you been?” sort of stuff, just catching up. It all ended, however, with them saying that their night wasn’t over yet, and that they were going to the bar. THE BAR!?!? That would make them at least 21 now. I was polite enough to restrain myself from asking.
I immediately thought to myself, “Hey wait a minute, I was an adult when I first met them... man I’ve been an adult for a while now.... time truly flies, thanks to that pain-in-the-butt dude in the picture above.
Sorry about the short blog, but this just completely takes the cake today, and I’ve forgotten about everything else.

OK now I feel old!
